Talk: Mankind uses economics, politics, and basic instincts to make decisions about water and energy resources. However, geologic data suggests we are altering the planet in ways that we haven’t yet managed. From the first oxygen-generating bacteria to the current change in the tilt of the Earth’s axis, this presentation will illustrate how the biggest changes on Earth come from events and inventions that historians rarely acknowledge. Apologies in advance for any bad dad jokes related to geology and B movies.
